WOYWW 103

Happy Wednesday!  I missed last weeks, as life is as hectic as ever.  Back to work from maternity leave
in a couple of weeks (boo), with redundancy looming in August so as well as enjoying my last bit of time with baby bump 2 (and 1 of course) I've been busy job hunting and then there's 1st birthday party preparations to be done.  Anyway, back to my desk.

The scrapbooking of baby bump 2 continues, this is one of my favourite photos of him a few weeks ago exploring our garden when we had all that lovely sunshine.  There's also some labels I've quickly printed in an attempt to get some organisation in my craft space (ie. the top shelf of the landing cupboard).  Pre-children I think it would have taken me about  a day to get it all sorted I'm currently at about week 4!

I also wanted to share with you all this gorgeous children's art area I've found on childhood 101 blog.

I'm off for another look at rearranging baby bump 1's bedroom (yet again) to see if we can accommodate something like this, and then possibly a trip to Ikea (any excuse!).  She loves drawing, art and craft etc, but it's a bit difficult to leave stuff out downstairs due to the exploration adventures of baby bug 2, so this might be an idea.

Thanks to all who visited my desk a couple of weeks ago, I'll try to get caught up with all properly this week.  Don't forget to visit Julia's blog for a snoop around some other workspaces.

Woyww 101

It's Wednesday, baby bug 2 is asleep (!) and number 1 at nursery - so five minutes to spare to show you my desk.

Been hurridly trying to get caught up with the scrapbooks again.  This is baby bug 2 last Christmas, can't believe he is nearly 1 now, eeek.  I think the papers are from craft creations.  To have a look at the workspaces of others pop over to Julia's blog.

Charlie Bear's Scrapbook

As promised, here's details of Charlie Bear's Easter holidays with us.  I've decided the easiest way to do this is to post a copy of his scrapbook (made by my daughter and me) on here...

Charlie's first day with us - meeting baby bug number 2, having some lunch, a trip to the library where he got his own library card (yes, he really is on the library system!), visiting Great Grandma and all tucked up in bed.

Meeting our goldfish: Dobbie, Bobby, Frank and Tinkerbell.

A visit to dance class.

Visiting Grandparents and having a quick game of skittles.

A morning out at Saltwell Park show - playing in the park on the slide and climbing frame..

Playing on some (very convenient) teddy-sized drums and having a tasty treat of hot doughnuts.

Free balloons and climbing trees

Meeting the animals from a local farm
A wander around the park (and a ride in the pushchair - cause Charlie Bear only has little legs!) before home.
A sleepover at the Grandparents house, with a  bit of gardening
and meeting the dog from up the street.
Lots of Easter fun - making Easter cards (baby bug 1 made a card for Charlie Bear), and some baskets to put all the goodies in.
 Baking Easter ginger bunny biscuits
Ta da!  Lots of Easter gifts ready to be given out: bunny biscuits, daffodils, easter crispie cakes, cards and some chocolate eggs.
The Easter Bunny came!  And even left some eggs for Charlie Bear.

I think we need a smaller shirt!
A trip to dek hockey with Daddy bug
One very tired bear!  (However, no bruises which seems to be virtually unheard of among the Dekstars!)
Watching the royal wedding on tv.
Planting seeds and sowing flowers in the garden.
 Visiting more Great Grandparents.
A picture of The Leaf Family - made by Baby Bug 1 with items found in Great Grandparents garden.

A walk around Allensford.
A trip to South Shields for his last day with us - shows, ice cream, fish and chips and sunshine, and a postcard to take home!

Bye bye Charlie Bear, hope you had a nice holiday!

Mrs Mop commission

Quick post to show a commissioned card I've just finished.  I was asked to make it for a cleaner who has just got a new cleaning job elsewhere.  Made with a sizzix person and various items of sizzix clothing and hair which have been amended to suit and then painted with acrylics.  (I've just started using acrylics and love them!)

WOYWW 100!

I'm back - just about!  Been missing in action for the past few weeks as nursery holidays, lovely weather and general family chaos took over and I hardly made it on here.  Not to worry, the blog shall be updated properly soon with tales of Easter and Charlie Bear.  Amid the aforementioned chaos the Folksy April Show-ers also ended up taking a back seat, but at least I managed to list almost daily for about half the month, it did give me a chance to actually get some stuff uploaded into my shop and there was much excitement when I made my first sale!

Back to What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, which I also haven't taken part in for a while.

I thought I should probably try to get caught up with the scrapbook of baby bug 2, who turns 1 next month (eeek).  So here he is lounging on the beach on his summer holidays last year.

Well, I'd best get back to the list of chores awaiting me before baby bug 2 wakes up and baby bug 1 finishes nusery!
